Hi Disney Moms! You guys are awesome! We are paying off our mortgage and as a reward trip we want to treat ourselves to a Disney trip October 2013. We have 3 kids 1(12,10 and 5). What moderate price resort would you recommend? There are 5 of us total!

Hi, Vickie!  Your best bet for a moderate resort is going to be Port Orleans Riverside.  Most of the moderate resorts at Walt Disney World only accommodate a family of four, but some of the rooms at this resort feature a trundle bed that will allow an extra person in the room.

You might also want to look at the brand new family suites at the Art of Animation resort.  The resort, with a May 2012 opening, has suites to accommodate up to six people.  You'll find two full bathrooms, a private bedroom for mom and dad, three different fold out options for the kids, and even a small kitchenette type set up with a mini refrigerator and microwave.  The suites are close in price to some of the moderate resorts, but you may find that you save a little money by having breakfast in your resort room or even keeping snacks and cold drinks on hand.

I hope you have an absolutely wonderful vacation!  Congratulations on paying off that mortgage!  What a wonderful accomplishment!
