Will be at Disney Grand Floridian from 11/19/11, How easy is it to get to Boardwalk restaurant like Flying Fish Cafe from GF ? monorail to Epcot -> and then boat to Boardwalk area ?looking to find restaurants with in 30 - - 45 minis of GF

Hi Shailen! How lucky you are to be staying at the Grand Floridian in just a few days! I just love that luxurious resort, and one of the great perks of staying there is that so many restaurants are just minutes away. The Grand Floridian has great restaurants onsite, and the restaurants in the Magic Kingdom, the Contemporary and the Polynesian are just a 10 to 15 minute monorail ride away. You can also reach the restaurants at the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness relatively quickly by boat.

To reach the restaurants at the Boardwalk resort, I recommend that you take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and then take a bus directly to the Boardwalk from there. (This route is faster than taking the monorail to Epcot and then walking/boating to the Boardwalk, and you won't have to use park admission either, which can be a factor if you don't have a park hopper and you visited a different park earlier that day.) You can reach the restaurants at the Yacht and Beach Club by using the same method (monorail to Magic Kingdom, then catching a bus to the resort). The trip to all of these Epcot-area resorts will likely take 45 minutes. If you're in a hurry, cabs are readily available at the Grand Floridian, and the ride to the Epcot area in my experience usually runs under $15 and 10 minutes.

If you need some restaurant suggestions close to the Grand Floridian, please don't hesitate to visit me again at the Moms Panel! I'm always happy to help!
