Hey howdy hey, Michelle.
I'm glad Bullseye rode like the wind and brought you here to planDisney! As Woody would say, you're in for a rootin'-tootin' good time on your vacation to
The Most Magical Place on Earth in less than a month. I bet you can't wait to be immersed in the magic and EARidescent excitement of
The World's Most Magical Celebration!
I am an avid fan of Disney Gift Cards and always use them on my trips back "home" to avoid carrying cash or using my debit card. Did you know you can set up an account on the
Disney Gift Card website using the same login information as your
My Disney Experience/Disney account? Once you've logged in, you'll be able to store the details of up to four Disney gift cards for safekeeping. You can combine smaller denomination gift cards by transferring the amounts onto these stored gift cards (a maximum balance of $1,000 per gift card is permitted). If you happen to lose one of your stored gift cards, just transfer the balance onto another stored gift card within the site. It's safe and oh-so convenient! Pro tip: Stop by one of the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival merchandise locations at
EPCOT early in your trip and purchase a special Festival gift card (minimum purchase of $15 required). Not only do they feature adorable characters, but they have an attached wrist band, which makes them super easy to use but less likely to lose.
Thankfully, most restaurants, snack stands, and merchandise locations on property accept Disney Gift Cards as a form of payment. There isn't necessarily a comprehensive list of locations that do accept them that I can share ahead of time, so you'll have to ask when checking out at each location. For the most part, shops and dining locations within the parks will be a safe bet.
Disney Springs is where you might see some locations that do not accept Disney Gift Cards as a form of payment.
Another way to avoid carrying cash or a credit card is to link a credit or debit card to your
MagicBand and assign it a PIN code for charging privileges. You can do this at the Front Desk when you check in for your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation. When you pay for souvenirs or meals during your trip, just let the Cast Member know you want to
charge the purchase to your Resort hotel room. You can request an itemized printout of all the charges you made from the Front Desk at the end of your vacation. It's really that simple!
Michelle, I hope this information helps. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to stop by
planDisney again. We will reach for the sky and go to infinity and beyond to find you the answers you need. Enjoy your magical vacation!
You've got a friend in me,
Alyssa
