    Can Disney gift cards be used to purchase Play Cards in the arcades located within the resorts?

    Being at Walt Disney World Resort, I like to joke, “Finally! The Princess is in this castle!” During mine and my family’s downtime on our Walt Disney World Resort vacation, my kiddos love to check out the arcades at the Resort hotels. Did you know there are a total of about 1,500-plus family-friendly games? My husband loves the play-sports games while I prefer race cars! The arcades are located in most Walt Disney World Resort hotels and you can see the locations here.  

    I was able to confirm that you may purchase a Game Card and add game points using a credit card or cash. Although you will not be able to use your Disney Gift Cards at the arcades, don't worry Jeanne, or as Simba sings, Hakuna Matata! I say this because you can use your Disney Gift Cards to pay for many things during your vacation, from your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room, Theme Park tickets, dining at Walt Disney World Resort, and to buy souvenirs at many Disney merchandising locations!
