Welcome to planDisney, Kathy! I am happy that you stopped by.
Disney Gift Cards can certainly be used to purchase theme park admission tickets for the
Disneyland Resort. However, when purchasing online, there are a couple of things to note before you get started. Guests may only use one payment method for their online
Disneyland Theme Park Ticket purchase. This means, that a Disney Gift Card must cover the entire purchase, as a credit card cannot also be used in the same transaction.
Additionally, you can only use one Disney Gift Card per transaction so you'll need to register and combine the Disney Gift Cards on the
Disney Gift Card website up to the current maximum amount per card. Currently, there is a $1,000 maximum value for Disney Gift Cards. If your ticket purchase exceeds the maximum value amount, you may need to complete your ticket purchase in more than one transaction.
Once you've purchased your tickets, please remember that Disney Gift Cards can also be used throughout the Disneyland Resort. In most cases, you can mobile order food through the
Disneyland Mobile App, buy souvenirs, and pay for select extras (like
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique) with your Disney Gift Card. And, unlike online admission ticket purchases, the Disney Gift Card does not even have to cover the entire cost of your popcorn, churro, or pretzel! You can use more than one payment method while at the Resort.
Kathy, that was a lot of information. If you need more help or have another question, please stop by again. I'd be
happy to help!
See you real soon,
Melissa
