Hi Karla!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am a big purchaser of
Disney Gift Cards, and we use them frequently on our Walt Disney World visits. Disney Gift Cards make great gifts, and I also use them as a way to save up for our trip! I will often pick up a gift card on payday and then save them for our next visit. Did you know that on the Disney Gift Card website, you can combine smaller cards onto one? This is super helpful because who wants to take twenty $25 gift cards with them? Currently, you can combine gift cards up to a maximum of $1,000 on one card.
Disney Gift Cards can be used at any
Disney owned-and-operated location, and sometimes select locations not owned by Disney. You’ll find that the majority of retailers and dining locations in the theme parks are Disney owned. At
Disney Springs there are quite a few Disney owned locations, but you’ll also find a large number of outside vendors that may or may not accept the gift card. For example, at the
Japan Pavilion in Epcot, the Mitsukoshi Department Store is owned by the same company that owns the corresponding store in Japan, and they do not accept Disney Gift Cards. When in doubt, it is always best to ask.
You can find Disney Gift Cards for purchase at a local Disney Store, major retailers that sell gift and entertainment cards, or online. With so many magical places to shop and delicious places to dine, I never have a problem spending my Disney Gift Card money, and I’m sure you won’t have trouble either!
Happy shopping!
