Hello Bruce!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thanks for stopping by with your question!
How exciting for you to be planning a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort!
I use
Disney Gift Cards as my main method of payment during my family's Walt Disney World Resort vacations. In fact, most of our family members and friends gift us Disney Gift Cards for birthdays and special occasions. They know we love experiences more than anything else, and the Disney Gift Cards help pay for our favorite kind of experiences!
You can use your
Disney Gift Cards to pay for many things during your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. Although there are some carts and merchandise vendors that may not be able to accept the gift cards, I use the bulk of my Disney Gift Cards to pay for our Walt Disney World
Resort hotel, as well as our
Theme Park tickets and
dining. You can always ask a Cast Member before you make your purchase if they accept Disney Gift Cards. According to
DisneyGiftCard.com, you may use the gift cards towards “admission tickets, annual passes, hotel rooms, spa experiences, merchandise, dining, and recreation. This includes Disney owned-and-operated locations and select locations not owned by Disney.”
The best way to keep your gift cards organized is to go to
DisneyGiftCard.com and create an account. You can combine your Disney Gift Cards in any denomination to a single card with a value of up to $1000. I like to go to combine mine into separate categories, such as Dining, Resort hotel, and Shopping. The website makes it so easy to transfer balances and delete cards with a 0 balance. The great thing about organizing your gift cards on the website is if you were to ever lose one, you can transfer the remaining balance on the one you have lost to a current one. I've done this before, and it has been a saving grace!
Bruce, I hope you and your party have the most magical vacation at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Aena
