I have $3700 of Disney gift cards that I’d like to use on park tickets. Is there any way I can do this? My tickets for my family of six cost over $3600. Please help!

    Hiya, Meredith! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm so excited to hear that you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort in just a few weeks! I bet you're feeling a bit like Cinderella waiting for the clock to strike midnight. I'd love to help you purchase your tickets and then put some finishing touches on your magical vacation!

Meredith, I'm happy to let you know that you're more than welcome to use your Disney Gift Cards to pay for your Theme Park Tickets! You will have this option to select when finalizing your purchase online. However, Guests are only able to use one Disney Gift Card when checking out. But Hakuna Matata! No worries! If you need to use more than one card, I have a few next steps that will be just right for you.

First, you'll be able to combine several smaller gift cards into one card, up to $1,000! You can do this through the Disney Gift Card website. This is a great way to manage your cards all in one place.

Second, if you'd like to use more than one card to complete your purchase, my best piece of advice would be to call a Cast Member at (407) 939-7679. They will be more than happy to help you purchase your tickets! If you decide to call, I have two tips for you. Try calling right when phone lines open at 7:00 AM EST. This will help you to have the shortest wait times on the phone. Also, pack a little extra patience! Cast Members' help is currently in high demand as they work hard to make every Guest's day the BEST. DAY. EVER! I'm sure a friendly voice and some extra kindness will be warmly welcomed.

Here's the biggest piece of advice: make your Theme Park Reservations with the Disney Park Pass system as soon as you're able! This is how you'll reserve the parks you wish to visit on each day of your trip. Take a peek at the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar since dates in April are quickly being filled up. When you speak to a Cast Member, they will likely be able to help you with this next step if you need assistance.

You'll also want to take some time to download and explore the My Disney Experience app prior to your trip! A little like holding your own magic wand in your hand, you'll be able to unlock everything that Walt Disney World Resort has to offer during your magical vacation. You can check wait times for attractions, view park maps, and you'll even be able to mobile order food during your trip! This is my favorite way to minimize waits and maximize the fun.

I hope I was able to help you with your question today, Meredith. If anything else pops up, please visit us again. Remember: you've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon!
