Ahoy, Kathy!
I love this question because I'm a huge fan of Disney Gift Cards! I normally purchase one each week when I shop for groceries to help save for my future cruises or Disney Parks vacations and to save on gas! I'm happy to report that Disney Cruise Line does accept Disney Gift Cards as a form of payment. If you haven't already, I highly suggest creating an account on the Disney Gift Card website
www.disneygiftcard.com. Here you'll be able to manage your gift cards and combine multiple cards into one (up to $1000 per card). I've really enjoyed this service because it's very convenient to only have to keep up with a few cards when we travel. When you are ready to book your cruise, it is better to call Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 if you have more than two gift cards to apply to your payment. You will not be able to input multiple cards in the online system, but a reservation agent will be able to take as many cards as needed to pay the deposit and/or final payment. One important tip is to hold on to your gift cards after your reservation has been made in the event of a refund or billing issue.
I also like to use
Disney Gift Cards once aboard to purchase Port Adventures, spa services, souvenirs and pictures just to name a few! The gift cards can be used directly in the gift ships or given to
Guest Services to be applied to your stateroom account. Again, hold on to any gift cards used on board in case you don't spend the entire amount. The stateroom safe is a great spot to keep them.
Thank you for cruising by with this excellent question, Kathy! We would love to help again so please keep us posted.
Have a magical day!
Nancy
