Can I use my Disney gift card for tipping Mouse Keeping? at restaurants? How much should I tip? Thanks!

    Hi Irene!

Disney gift cards are a great way to save money when planning and booking your Disney vacation!  They are also a great way to spend monies at the Walt Disney World theme parks.  Disney gift cards are accepted in many of the stores and restaurants throughout the WDW complex and can be used in a myriad of way...you can purchase food and snacks with them, you can pay for your hotel stay with them, and you can pay your gratuity at the Disney restaurants.  Normally, guests will leave a gratuity of between 18 and 20 percent, and Disney will indicated those amount on the bill, so there is no math to be done!

As for Mousekeeping, most guests leave cash envelopes in their rooms.  I've always left between $1- $2 per person every morning, as Mouse keeping staff does change throughout the week, and I do want to give credit where credit is due.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
