Welcome back to planDisney, Karen! Thank you for trusting us with your Walt Disney World vacation planning questions, we always love to see our guests come back to us.
One of my favorite vacation budgeting tips is to purchase Disney Gift Cards for months leading up to your trip. I try to purchase mine from a local store where I get a slight discount on them, because every dollar saved helps! I then head to the
Disney Gift Card website to combine the smaller cards onto a couple of cards with larger amounts (the limit for any Disney Gift Card is $1000).
Then, when I am on my vacation, I use those gift cards for all my purchases. From table service meals to souvenirs to snacks, I have never had trouble using a Disney Gift Card to pay. I do carry cash for tipping my servers. So, you can absolutely use it to pay at Cinderella’s Royal Table.
One of the new features on the
MyDisneyExperience mobile app is the ability to mobile order food from a quick service location and use a Disney Gift Card to pay. The app doesn’t remember the number, so you will need to put the number in each time you are paying.
Since your Walt Disney World holiday is in August, you will begin making your
Advance Dining Reservations in June. Being in the UK, you are at a time advantage, so I wish you the best of luck to get everything that your heart desires!
Happy Traveling,
Tracy
