Hi there, Lisa! Thank you for stopping by planDisney to ask your Disney Gift Card question.
You can use your Disney Gift Cards to pay for just about everything on the Walt Disney World property. My son even used it at Savi’s Workshop on Batuu to pay for his light saber! The only place I had trouble on my last trip was at a popcorn cart that must have been offline at the time. Usually even the carts can accept a Disney Gift Card as payment.
When I was recently visiting, I saw some super cute 50th anniversary gift cards in many of the shops. These were able to be activated with just $15. I purchased one of each park, to use as my new combined cards for my next trip. I purchase my Gift Cards at a discount at a local store and then visit the
Disney Gift Card Website to combine them, up to $1000. I try to use a card that looks different than the ones I purchase at the store, just so I know which one has the most money linked to it.
My son managed to lose his gift card while wandering around EPCOT during the International Food & Wine Festival. We were easily able to look it up on the Disney Gift Card website and transfer the balance to a different card. I had never had that happen before and was so grateful that I had loaded it onto the site!
I hope you have a fabulous visit for
The Most Magical Celebration on Earth!
Happy Traveling,
Tracy
