Welcome back to planDisney, Kelly! I am glad that you found your way back to us with your question.
Guests can pre-book select
photo products up to 3 days before your embarkation day. The great thing about pre-booking is you receive a discount on the onboard price. In order to pay with a Disney gift card, you can use the gift card to purchase onboard credit under
Onboard Gifts before the start of your cruise. The amount will go toward your stateroom account, where your photo product will be charged. The other option is to visit
Guest Services to present the gift card to be added to your stateroom account once onboard. I find it easier to purchase Onboard Credit for myself to cover pre-reserved activities such as a photo package or
Port Adventures instead of waiting in line at Guest Services.
You can pre-book the photo product once you are paid in full and your
advance booking window opens. Only one person in your stateroom needs to pre-book. The
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will list the
character greetings where you can have your photo taken with some of your favorite Disney characters, and photographers will be available in the atrium and the
rotational dining restaurants. I like to visit
Shutter's Photography to view my photos after dinner every night to see all of the photos I have taken.
Kelly, I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, sail back to
planDisney. We are here to help you plan a picturesque vacation on Disney Cruise Line.
Happy Planning!
