Can I use a Disney gift card in lieu of my debit card for the resort $100 incidental hold upon check in?

    Howdy, Justin.

I’m so glad you rode like the wind with Bullseye here to planDisney today! You’re in for a rootin’-tootin’ good time on your vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth in just a matter of DAYS. Yeehaw!

As a fellow Disney Gift Card connoisseur, I completely understand wanting to use a Disney Gift Card to pay for the incidental hold at check-in at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Unfortunately, that is not a possibility at this time. Hakuna matata though, because I have a solution for you! While you cannot link a Disney Gift Card to your room for charging privileges during your stay, you can go to the Front Desk at your Resort to pay for any charges you made each day with your Disney Gift Card. My husband and I typically head straight there after ending our day at the parks to clear out our charges using the Disney Gift Cards we carry with us so our debit card is not charged instead. Either way, remember, you must stop by the Front Desk to set up your PIN code when you arrive if you plan on charging purchases to your room during your stay.

I hope this information proves helpful, Justin, but don’t hesitate to stop by again if you have further questions. We will reach for the sky and go to infinity and beyond to find the answers you need. Have a wonderful trip!

You’ve got a friend in me,
