I have Disney e gift card. At Downtown Disney Anaheim, which eateries can I redeem it at? Thanks, Rodney

Hi Rodney, and welcome to planDisney!

When you have a Disney Gift Card in hand, figuring out where to use it can feel a bit overwhelming, but not to worry! I'm happy to help you make the most of your magical spending money.

Disney Gift Cards are valid at locations owned by Disney, which include several fantastic shops in the Downtown Disney District. You can use your gift card at places like Avengers Reserve, The D-Lander Shop, The Disney Dress Shop, Disney Home, Disney's Pin Traders, Disney Wonderful World of Sweets, Star Wars Trading Post, WonderGround Gallery, and, of course, the iconic World of Disney. Unfortunately, many of the Downtown Disney dining locations are owned by third parties, which means they won’t accept Disney Gift Cards.

If you’re hoping to use your gift card for dining outside the parks, there’s still some good news! The Disneyland Resort hotels have several excellent dining spots that happily accept Disney Gift Cards. Over at the Grand Californian (which conveniently connects to Downtown Disney), you’ll find Storytellers Café and Craftsman Grill, both of which are perfect spots to enjoy a delicious meal. Meanwhile, the Disneyland Hotel offers delightful dining options as well, including my personal favorite, Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill. Whether you're in the mood for tropical vibes or a casual sit-down meal, these spots are great options for fueling your day of Disney fun.

If you plan to visit Disneyland or Disney California Adventure, you’ll be thrilled to know that Disney Gift Cards are accepted at nearly all dining locations, including most snack carts. Since California Adventure is currently celebrating the Food & Wine Festival, this is an especially exciting way to use your gift card. You can purchase the Sip and Savor Pass, which gives you the opportunity to sample up to eight food or non-alcoholic beverage items from Festival Marketplaces. My wife and I visited recently, and let me tell you, the Musubi Fried Rice and Western BBQ Burger Bao were absolutely delicious!

I hope this information helps you get the most out of your Disney Gift Card, Rodney! If you have any other dining questions or need more tips, please visit us here at planDisney again.

    Have a treat for me!
