Thanks for taking the time to visit planDisney, Hao! You've asked a great question!
Disney Gift Cards are a great way to budget for your trip to The Happiest Place on Earth. They come in a variety of denominations, and I often end up with quite a collection from friends and family members who know exactly what to get me when it comes to birthdays or the holidays!
You can start your trip off by purchasing your
Disneyland theme park tickets using Disney Gift Cards, whether you decide to get them online through your Disneyland account or on the
Disneyland Mobile app. Once you arrive, you can use your gift cards to buy and pay for most things at
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park; yes, Minnie ears and corn dogs included (the
Corn Dog Castle is one of my favorites)!
One caveat is that Disney Gift Cards cannot be saved in the Disneyland Mobile App, so when you are using the
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering or
Merchandise Mobile Checkout, you will need to type in the number on the payment screen every time you place a new order. A little tip that many panelists like to share is to type your gift card number in your phone's notes app so you can quickly copy and paste it for your orders.
Keeping track of many gift cards can be difficult, so if you have multiple, I suggest combining them all onto one card to make them easier to manage; to do this, you will need to set up a
disneygiftcard.com account. There is a five-card and $1,000 limit that you can load onto your Disney Gift Card account.
I hope these tips help make things a little easier on your wallet, Hao! Please feel free to reach out again anytime.
