Hi Jayme!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am a frequent Disney Gift Card purchaser, both as gifts for others and as a way to set aside some fun money for my own Disney vacations.
Yes, you can transfer the balance from a Disney eGift Card to a physical card! Visit the
Disney Gift Card site and under the Manage Cards option, you can transfer balances between cards. If you do not currently have a physical Disney Gift Card, you can purchase one on the site, at a local Disney Store, or at many other major retail locations that sell gift cards.
If you don’t currently have a physical card to transfer the balance to, or don’t wish to purchase an additional card, the Disney eGift Card may be easier to use than you think. If your son has a mobile device, simply forward the Disney eGift Card email so he can show the barcode. Cast Members would then scan the code to use the gift card. That email can also be printed and either the barcode can be scanned, or Cast Members can manually enter the gift card number from the email.
Disney Gift Cards can be used at
so many locations throughout the parks, resorts and
Disney Springs! I received a Disney eGift Card from friends last summer and we used it to rent a
Sea Raycer and take my boys out on a boat ride into the Seven Seas Lagoon. Mickey Ears, Dole Whips or the perfect tee shirt, I hope your son finds the just the right use for his Disney Gift Card!
Happy shopping!
