    Disney first time visit in Oct. what is the best way to get from 1.French Quarter Resort to Contemporary for Chef Mickey 2. From AK to Polynesian for Ohana dinner?

    Hi Carrie,

    Hooray for a first visit!! I hope you have a magical time! October is a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resorts because there are so many extras!

    In general, transportation between resorts is tricky. Often you need to go to another park or Downtown Disney and transfer because every resort goes to parks and Downtown Disney by some form of Disney transportation. Some are easy such as the resorts on the monorail which make things super convenient.

    From Port Orleans French Quarter to the Contemporary, take the bus to Magic Kingdom. Then walk or take the monorail to the Contemporary. Super easy!

    From Animal Kingdom, simply hop on a bus to the Polynesian. To return home, head to the Magic Kingdom, if it is still open, and then take the bus to French Quarter. Or you can take a bus to Downtown Disney and then travel to French Quarter via a bus or a boat.
