We are going to be at Disney for the first time in May. From May 8-10. We plan on going to Hollywood studios the first day. We are staying in the pop century resort. Will we need to check in first before our magic bands work? What time is check in/out?

    Hi Faye,

Your trip is right around the corner and I hope you have a great time!

As long as you have your MagicBands and/or park tickets and are not on the Disney Dining Plan, you can head straight to Disney's Hollywood Studios to begin enjoying all the magic of this park. If you are on the Disney Dining Plan, take a quick stop at Disney's Pop Century to activate the dining portion.

You can do online check-in 10 days prior to your arrival. This greatly reduces your wait when you arrive at your resort. You can even add a credit card and select a pin to make charges back to your resort.

Check-in is 3:00 pm and checkout is 11:00 am. Disney can notify you when your room is ready. In addition, there have been times when I have arrived in the morning and my room was ready.

    Wishing you a magical day!
