    We are going to disney for the first time in less than 20 days. I was wondering if any water rides are open or even feasible due to weather at this time? Will Splash Mountain be open for example?

    Welcome Danielle!   Sounds like you have some water ride lovers in your family just like I do.   My pre-teen daughter would ride Splash Mountain even if it was snowing outside if I would let her.

    Water rides are open year round.  However, during some periods of the year they will close for refurbishment.  You can check the Walt Disney World park hours page for information about the days you will be visiting.   If you scroll to the bottom of the page it will advise you as to which rides will be closed for refurbishment during your visit.  For example Splash Mountain is closed for refurbishment from January 8- February 1, 2018.      

    I hope you are able to enjoy some splashtastic fun on your vacation.  Remember even if you don't get to enjoy the water rides at the theme parks, your Disney Resort hotel pools are heated year round and are so fun to enjoy with your whole family.
