Welcome aboard, Manuel! Your family must be thrilled to realize that there are only a few weeks left until you set sail for what is sure to be one very magical cruise on the Disney Fantasy! Sailing in October, you're in luck, as you'll get to take part in some of the special spooky Halloween themed events that are planned for Disney Cruise Line!
While there are not tours of the galley, bridge or engine room, there are a couple of great tours I'd highly recommend on the ship. The first one is a simple Walking Ship Tour for all ages on your first day on the ship. There are usually one or two times to meet for this tour after lunch that first day. Your Personal Navigator will list the exact times and meeting locations. This is a great way to get your bearings on the ship!
But, my favorite tour is the Art of The Theme Show Tour. I really enjoy this tour on each of Disney's ships. A Cast Member will take you throughout the public areas of the ship, describing what went into the design, showing you hidden secrets and special details that most guests overlook. This is definitely a must-do on your cruise, so be sure to keep a look out for it on your Personal Navigator once you're onboard. Read a bit about it in this
article on the Disney Parks Blog.
Guests cannot go into the Bridge and engine room, but up on the pool deck, I've seen a great video tour of the Bridge most times we've sailed. This video tour is played on the Funnel Vision screen above the Donald Pool. I don't remember if this is listed on the Personal Navigator or not, so be sure to ask a Cast Member once you're onboard so you don't miss this video tour if it's offered on your sailing.
Have fun as you continue to plan, Manuel. I'm happy to help if you have any other questions before you set sail!
