Welcome aboard, Bernadette! I love sailing with
Disney Cruise Line on any itinerary, but the seven-night sailings are my absolute favorite because they give us plenty of time to really unwind and enjoy not only great adventures in more ports of call, but also lots of magical time onboard the ship! You must be so thrilled!
Your seven-night
Fantasy sailing will have both a Formal Night and a Semi-Formal night. On your particular itinerary for the Western Caribbean, you can expect that the
dining attire nights will be:
Night 1: Cruise Casual
Night 2: Formal
Night 3: Cruise Casual
Night 4: Cruise Casual
Night 5: Pirate Night (or Cruise Casual)
Night 6: Semi-Formal
Night 7: Cruise Casual
To add even more magic to an already exciting cruise, many guests will meet up ahead of time in online Disney fan forums to get to know other guests they'll be sailing with and plan little gift exchanges called Fish Extender exchanges. Outside each stateroom is a clip on the wall. The clips are shaped like fish, and guests in these exchange groups will bring hanging pockets for gifts to "extend" the fish clip, thus a "fish extender". This isn't sponsored by Disney Cruise Line, but arranged independently by guests themselves prior to sailing usually on Disboards.com or Facebook. I searched around and found yours! There is an active group on Facebook if you search there for "Disney Fantasy October 28". Request to join and see if the Fish Extender exchange groups are still open. Many times they'll set a closing date so that they have time to create the gifts, but either way, it'll be fun to meet others with whom you'll be sailing!
Have fun planning, Bernadette!
