On Disney Fantasy. Cabin #10088 (Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah). Can the sofa be moved parallel to the open Murphy bed to make "one" bed or is there not enough room? Thanks!

Ahoy there, Dawn! Thank you for cruising on by planDisney with your Disney Cruise Line vacation question.

I have cruised with DCL many times and stayed in a LOT of different types of staterooms. A Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah is great for a family of 4 or 5. The bed configuration is a queen, a twin murphy bed, a twin sofa bed (the seat actually flips to form the bed), and a twin pull-down berth, which is above the sofa bed like a bunk bed.

The sofa is not moveable, so you would not be able to make a larger bed with the murphy bed. Plus, staterooms are really not large enough to be moving furniture around.

One great thing about the Disney Cruise Line staterooms is the split bathroom. This is so great for families! It allows one person to be showering while another uses the sink and mirror in the other “half” of the bathroom. With 4-5 people all trying to get ready for dinner at one time, this is a game-changer. Should you still find that you are on top of each other, my husband has been known to head to the Senses Spa & Salon to use the locker room to shower and get dressed for dinner.

I hope this helps with your cruise planning! Please visit us here at planDisney with other questions you might have.

    Happy Cruising,
    Tracy
