Hello Disney Moms! My family will be in Disney for 10 days in Nov. 2013 and staying at the Grand Floridian (yay!!). How far in advance can I book spa treatments? Also, she is 14. Is she allowed to use the spa? Thanks for your time!

Hello, Danila! Your family is going to love their stay at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort! When my family last stayed at this Deluxe Resort, we really enjoyed our time spent there - we splurged a bit and booked a Magic Kingdom view room where we could wake up and see Cinderella Castle from our balcony. The resort lobby is breathtaking and the large resort gift shop on the way to the monorail offers some really wonderful merchandise. While the resort has a very elegant Victorian-inspired ambiance, there is a relaxed feel at the same time. Some of the best restaurants at Walt Disney World are located at the Grand Floridian. One of my personal favorites is Citrico's - if you make a reservation for dinner, I promise you won't be disappointed!

I had the opportunity to tour the Senses Spa a few weeks prior to the official opening in mid-December. It was a treat to sample the wonderful fruit and herbal elixirs and learn about all the fabulous treatments the spa would be offering to Guests.

You can book spa treatments at Senses - A Disney Spa up to 180 days in advance. Reservations must be made by phone by calling 407-WDW-SPAS (407-939-7727). And, yes, your 14-year-old can absolutely use the spa! She can choose one of three spa journeys - Relax, Renew or Imagine - which include a full array of spa treatments such as skin care, massage therapies, bath and soak treatments, body therapies, and hand and foot treatments. However, you'll want to keep in mind that Spa Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Have a rejuvenating and relaxing vacation!
