Hello! Disney Families first trip together in July! I already paid for the whole disney vacation, plane, dining plan, tickets and hotel. My concern is extra spend money. DS 6 and DS 7, how much is the reccommended spend money from other parents?

Hi, Danielle!  I think how much extra spending money you allow for the children depends on what you expect them to pay for.  Over the years, I've found that the amount I budget for my own kids changes, but it almost always depends on how much stuff I think I can fit in my suitcases on the way home!

I never expect my kids to pay for things like extra snacks or drinks, but I always budget money if they want to make those giant "pixie sticks" - the powdered candy you pour into a plastic stick.  I also generally budget for a t-shirt or sweat shirt, depending on what season we're headed into, and then a little money for something else - a stuffed toy, a lightsaber, or something like that.

For us, about $100 per kid usually covers it.  They can earn their own spending money by doing extra chores from the chore jar I keep at home, and if they have money that they've saved from a birthday or holiday (or the money Grandmom sneaks into their pockets for no particular reason), they can bring that with them, but I try not to let them overspend.

Hopefully, this gives you some idea how much to plan for!  Have a wonderful first trip!
