Does Disney make any exceptions for teens that are 14 to go on the Keys To The Kingdom tour?

    Hi Robert,

Unfortunately the answer to your question is no.

Disney is quite strict about checking identification for guests taking backstage tours. The Keys to the Kingdom tour has a hard requirement that all participants be 16 years old.

There are a few backstage experiences that do accept children under age 16. I've taken my daughters on the Wild Africa Trek at the Animal Kingdom, which has an age requirement of 8, and the Dolphins in Depth tour at Epcot, which has an age requirement of 13. This were both big hits with my family.

If your teen is looking for background information on Disney, a good option is a Dine With An Imagineer experience. These allow guests as young as 10 years old to have a meal with one of the people who help create the attractions in the parks. I did this with one of my girls when she was 12. The Imagineer was great with her, telling lots of fun stories, and answering all her questions.

Please let us know if you have additional questions. We're happy to help.
