Hi. I will be at disney in early december. Does Magic Kingdom close early on the dates of the Very Merry Christmas Party for those who are not attending?

    Hi Jessica!

    Welcome to planDisney!

On the nights that Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you can expect the park to close to regular park guests at 6 PM. We actually just found out the dates for the party, so here are the days you can expect the park to close early:

    November 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 25, 26, 28, and 30
    December 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, and 21

It’s good to note that on these nights, there will be no showings of the Disney Starlight parade or Happily Ever After fireworks. Those who attend the party will get to see the exclusive holiday entertainment instead.

If you’re hoping to see the Starlight parade and Happily Ever After, you’ll want to plan to visit Magic Kingdom on a non-party night. But if the nighttime entertainment isn’t a high priority, you’ll often find a lower crowd level at Magic Kingdom during the day if there’s a party that night. So, that’s something to consider as you plan!

If you’d like to join the party, tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will go on sale on July 16, 2025, for Disney World resort and select good neighbor hotel guests. All other guests will be able to purchase tickets beginning on July 22, 2025. Those guests who attend the party will be able to use that ticket to enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 PM, and the party will go from 7 PM to midnight.

In addition to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Hollywood Studios will be hosting Jollywood Nights on the following dates:

    November 8, 15, 17, 22, 24 and 29
    December 1, 6, 10, 13, 17, 20 and 22

Last year, Hollywood Studios closed at 7 PM for regular park guests on party nights. But the good news is that both regular park guests and party guests were able to watch the nighttime show, Fantasmic. Tickets for this party go on sale on the same dates as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Of course, even if you don’t attend the parties, there is still plenty of holiday fun around the parks and resorts! It’s my favorite time of the year at Disney World, and I hope you enjoy every second!

Let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan. We’re always happy to help!
