We are going to Disney in early December and we haven't been in 10 years. What is new, different, and must do? We are only in the parks for 3 days and we aren't doing Hollywood Studios. We are also staying at a DVC resort for the first time.

    Hi Ariana,

Just thinking about you experiencing the magic and fun of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation again after a decade is putting a great big smile on my face! You'll find the same immersive magic as before with many long-standing favorites among Disney fans, but there will also be lots of new things to discover and enjoy! Plus, you're visiting during the holiday season, which is EXTRA magical AND staying at a Disney Vacation Club Resort hotel, which will truly feel like home away from home. You must be practically BURSTING with anticipation and excitement!

I recently answered a question from a Guest sharing many of the new experiences just within 2019, so I'd definitely encourage you to read that. Over the last 10 years, though, I'd be happy to point out some of the highlights and changes that you'll definitely want to see! First, at Magic Kingdom Park, you'll find that Fantasyland has undergone quite an improvement with wonderful new attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid, plus great new dining locations like Be Our Guest Restaurant and Gaston's Tavern, where I highly recommend the LeFou's Brew! Of course, the perfect way to end your day at Magic Kingdom Park is with the new fireworks spectacular, Happily Ever After. It's my favorite nighttime show! While Epcot is currently undergoing a major transformation, you'll want to make sure you check out Frozen Ever After and the new fireworks display there which begins this fall, Epcot Forever. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, you HAVE to experience Pandora - The World of Avatar. Flight of Passage is breathtaking and is my personal favorite attraction throughout the entire Walt Disney World Resort. I'd definitely encourage you to see the land both during the day and at night when it comes to life through the magic of bioluminescense. Wow! There's another new nighttime show there, too, called Rivers of Light - We Are One as well as the Tree of Life Awakenings. While I'm sure you'll find other new favorites, these are definitely some of the must-do experiences!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ariana, and please feel free to come see us again with any other questions as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
