Can the Disney Dream Reward Dollars card be used for tipping after meals?

Welcome to the Moms Panel, Edmund!

Tipping on a Disney Cruise works a little differently than a land based Disney vacation.  During your voyage, you will have several crewmembers that will make sure you receive outstanding service.  Your stateroom host/hostess, dining server, assistant server and head server will take care of you daily and in return, it is customary to tip them at the end of the cruise.  Gratuities can be pre-paid prior to sailing or will be charged to your shipboard account on embarkation day.  If you would like to use a Disney Rewards Redemption Card for your tips, just stop by Guest Services at any time during your sailing and turn it in so it can be applied to your stateroom account.  All shipboard charges including gratuities will be charged to your stateroom "Key to the World" card.  You can check the purchases and balances at any time via your stateroom TV or at Guest Services.  On the last night of your voyage, you will receive envelopes and vouchers which you can hand out to the phenomenal crewmembers that helped make your Disney Cruise an exceptional experience.

Any other tips such as bar service are always applied at the time of service.  A 15% charge will be added in and charged to your stateroom.

I hope my answer helps with your planning!  Please let me know if you need any other questions answered before you set sail!

    Have a wonderful day!
