    Disney Dream in October! We have booked the bus to take us back to the airport in Orlando after our cruise, but was are not taking a flight, we will be picking up a rental car to stay in FL for an add'l week...what happens to our luggage when we disimbark?

    Ahoy Jessica!
    It is wonderful to hear from you again!  The months are flying by and soon it will be your turn to set sail on a magical Bahamian voyage this fall!  The night before you disembark the ship you will leave your luggage outside your stateroom.  It will be tagged with a Disney character and your information, and the next time you will see it is in the cruise terminal the following morning.  Once you head down the escalator in the terminal, you will see large character signs hanging from the ceiling to help you locate your luggage. After you find your luggage you will then head through U.S. Customs.  The Disney Cruise Line buses will be waiting at the curb so you can load your bags for the airport.  When you are dropped off, you will be able to get your luggage to head to the rental car counter. 
    I'm not sure which car rental agency you are using, but Hertz, Avis and Budget all have offices located near the cruise terminal if don't want to go all the way back to the airport.  They all offer a free shuttle from the port to their offices as well.
