on Disney Dream Dluxe staterooms-I would like to understand the bathroom situation. What is the difference between the round tub or rectangular? In the Deluxe Staterooms? If we get a concierge room, can I use the concierge status to make dinner reservation

Hi there, Mark! Thanks so much for sailing by planDisney with your question. I’m happy to help you get to know the Disney Dream a little better as you plan your vacation!

One of the things Guests love most about Disney Cruise Line staterooms, especially families, is the split bathroom design. Unlike many cruise lines (and many that don’t offer tubs at all), Disney’s Deluxe Staterooms feature two separate bathroom spaces. One room has a toilet and sink, while the other has a shower and tub combo along with a second sink. This setup is a game-changer when more than one person is trying to get ready at the same time. Speaking as a mom of three boys, it has saved us many “who gets the bathroom first?” moments over the years!

When it comes to the tubs themselves, the main difference you’ll notice on the Disney Dream is the shape rather than the size. Some Deluxe Staterooms have a round tub, which includes a small inner ledge that many Guests like because it can act as a seat or even replace a shower stool. Other staterooms have a more traditional rectangular tub, but function very similarly. Most Deluxe Family Verandah Staterooms in Categories 4A through 4D tend to have the round tubs, while Category 4E (known for its oversized verandah) typically has the rectangular tub. Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms (Category 8) also generally have the round tubs. If the tub shape is important to you, I’d recommend giving Disney Cruise Line a call. A Cast Member can help you pick a specific stateroom category.

As for Concierge, your planning will be even easier. Concierge Guests have priority access to reservations and a Shoreside Concierge team to help you. Once your cruise is paid in full and you’re within your booking window, you can email your wish list to the Concierge team and they’ll take care of booking dining experiences like Palo or Remy, as well as onboard activities, spa treatments, nursery time, and more. While specific reservations are never guaranteed, the team does their best to make it happen. They can also help with dining room requests, such as table location or whether you’d prefer a private table.

I hope this helps you plan your Disney Dream vacation, Mark. Please don’t hesitate to sail back with more questions...I’m always happy to help!

    Sea ya real soon,
