    Hi David,

Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with some great questions as you're preparing for your May vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth! I'd be happy to answer them for you and help you be as prepared as possible for all of the magic and fun you're going to experience during your visit.

First, Disney Parks Blog announced in January that the Extra Magic Hours benefit, which has been suspended as part of the phased reopening, will not be returning. In its place, a new perk will begin sometime later this year which will allow Guests staying in the magic with Disney Resorts Collection to enter any one of the four theme parks a half an hour early every single day. Be sure to keep an eye out for more information coming at a later date!

Next, yes, park hours are always subject to change. It is possible but certainly not guaranteed that hours will be modified as the dates of your visit approach, so I'd definitely recommend checking the calendar from time to time to see if there have been any updates.

And ah...fireworks. The nighttime spectaculars are perhaps what I personally miss the most. One of my favorite moments in a magical Disney day was gathering together with my loved ones and watching the night sky light up - perfectly synchronized to a moving soundtrack. With Disney's commitment to health and safety, anything that draws a large crowd at this point is tricky, but I assure you that when Disney Parks Blog announces that it's safe for fireworks to return, you'll likely hear me squealing with joy all the way in Virginia.

Finally, there has been some good news about the hopeful return of some of our favorite shows. Disney Parks Blog also announced in January that Festival of the Lion King will be returning at some point this summer. Hooray! While there's no word yet regarding a return of Finding Nemo - The Musical, I'm wishing on a star that its fate will be similar to Festival of the Lion King, and we'll be enjoying the "big blue world" again soon!

Thanks again for visiting us at planDisney, David, and please feel free to come back any time you have a Disney-planning question! I hope you have a truly magical vacation this May!
