Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Megan. I'm delighted to answer your question about dining!
Even though
advanced dining reservations are not required, it is highly advisable to secure some, especially at the most popular restaurants. If booking online, advanced reservation availability for restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort typically begins at approximately 5:45 AM Eastern Time up to 180 days prior to your vacation. If you prefer to make your advance dining reservations on the phone, be aware that the Disney Reservation Center (keep
this phone directory handy) is available from 7:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. Eastern Time Mondays thru Fridays, and from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time on Saturdays and Sundays.
The best part of adding the
Disney Dining Plan to your vacation is that you can have a
character meal every day if you wish to! You will want to book a reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table, Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, Ohana, etc. and other favorites, where you will not need to wait in line to meet a character;
they will come to
you, instead!
If you would like to book a
dining event, you can do so beginning at 7:00 A.M. ET on the day it becomes available.
Megan, I hope you find this information useful, and remember that we'll be here with more planning tips.
Happy Disney Dining!
