Welcome BACK to
planDisney, Rachael! It’s wonderful to see you here asking another question about the
Disney Dining Plan. Dining at
Walt Disney World and the Disney Dining Plan are two of my favorite topics, so I am happy to assist you with an answer to your question about making swaps with your Dining Plan meals.
I found some mixed information about swapping your table-service meals for quick-service meals, so I reached out to a Cast Member directly to confirm what information was correct. According to Cast Member Bonnie Sue, you cannot swap a table service meal for quick service meals. You have to stick to the intended meal types within your Disney Dining Plan.
If you’re worried about spending too much of your precious holiday time sitting for meals, you can use your table-service meals for restaurants that offer buffets, which are typically quicker. Some of my favorite buffets in Walt Disney World include
Boma – Flavors of Africa,
1900 Park Fare for breakfast,
Chef Mickey’s, and
The Crystal Palace. You can also use some of your table-service meals for Character Dining or Signature Dining, which require 2 table-service meals, ultimately giving you fewer table-service meals during your holiday, while using the credits you do have for extraordinary dining experiences. Some of my favorite restaurants that require 2 table-service meals are
Cinderella’s Royal Table,
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White, and dinner at
Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera.
I hope this information helps you have incredible meals and a magical experience during your
Walt Disney World holiday, Rachael! If we can assist you with more of your Disney holiday questions, please Be Our Guest! Here at planDisney, we are dedicated to finding answers.
