Hi, Susan!
It looks like you are counting down to a 2018 vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort! How exciting! I love to dream of Disney dining because some of my favorite restaurants are located at the Most Magical Place on Earth, and planning where my family will eat is always part of the fun.
When my Mouseketeers were a bit younger, I did worry about them falling asleep during meals so I would try to plan early evening dinners or our table-service meals for breakfast or lunch and quick-service for dinner. It worked out well all but one time when we were dining at The Garden Grill at Epcot and my son feel asleep! It was priceless because we took some hilarious photos of Chip 'n' Dale with him as he snoozed! Susan, I strongly suggest planning early meals so you can fully enjoy your
Disney Dining Plan because table-service restaurants do not offer to-go services at this time. Certain Disney Resort hotels do offer some
in-room dining or
private dining options (room service) that can be used with your Disney Dining Plan. This may be something to consider for one evening. The in-room dining option offers one pizza entreé, two single serving beverages (or two alcoholic beverages for 21 and over in 2018) and two desserts with gratuities included. If you order this option, you'll be deducted two adult table-service meal credits. The private dining option includes an entreé, dessert (lunch and dinner) and either a non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverage for 21 and over (2018 only). Again, two adult table-service meal credits will be required for this order.
Susan, thank you for reaching out with your question!
Bon Appétit!
Nancy
