Hey, Kelly! I am so glad you stopped by today with your question. It is great that you are planning ahead for your meals so that you can make the best and most cost-effective use of your
Disney Dining Plan. Be sure to pop on the
Disney Dining site or your
My Disney Experience mobile app to make your dining reservations!
In most instances, there are not excluded entree menu items for Disney Dining Plan participants. However, you may find that with menu items such as some Prix Fixe menus or special cuts of meat (the Wagyu beef that you mentioned), payment of Table Service meal entitlements plus an additional amount will be required. There are a few general exceptions to keep in mind:
- Items designed "for 2" or "for 4," will be excluded but most locations will allow multiple diners to pool entitlements and share. The 32 oz. Porterhouse for Two at Yachtsman Steakhouse in an example.
- Certain fixed-price combinations (such as the Taste of Morroco at Restaurant Marrakesh) and entrees with rare or exotic ingredients (such as Wagyu beef), though they may be available as entitlements plus an upcharge
I spoke with a manager at Morimoto Asia several months ago to check on Disney Dining Plan use at their Disney Springs location. I did confirm with the manager that yes, you can include a three-ounce order of the Japanese A5 Wagyu Beef when using the Disney Dining Plan. If you would like to order more than three ounces, then they can add the extra charge to your bill. Please understand that menus and Dining Plan use could change at any time, so please consult your server when you arrive for your meal.
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question! If there are other specific meals or dining locations you have in mind, feel free to let me know and I will be happy to get more information for you!
