Bonjour Michael, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. Last year I visited Disneyland Paris with a group of 11 friends and family members, and we made so many core memories together! So I’d be happy to chat about getting a
Meal Plan with your large crew.
The Standard and Plus Half Board Meal Plans are similar. They both include breakfast at your hotel (at
Disney Hotel Santa Fe, this will be at
La Cantina) and one lunch or dinner at a range of different buffet and table-service restaurants. Disney Davy Crockett Ranch and Disney Hotel Santa Fe can book Standard, and Disney Hotel Cheyenne, Disney Sequoia Lodge, Disney Newport Bay Club, and Disney Hotel New York can book Plus. All Disney Hotel guests (except those staying at Disneyland Hotel) can upgrade to the Extra Plus Meal Plan, which includes a voucher for lunch or dinner with Disney Characters, and one snack and one drink per Guest per night booked.
The biggest difference between Standard and Plus comes into play at the Full Board level. Guests with the Standard Full Board Meal Plan must have one meal per day (lunch or dinner) at a quick-service restaurant, whereas Guests with the Plus Full Board Meal Plan can have both lunch and dinner at a table-service restaurant (each night of their stay). Guests at Disney Hotel Santa Fe and Disney Davy Crockett Ranch are able to upgrade to the Plus option if they’d like more table service meals.
Before I go, I wanted to share a tip for dining with a large crew. Generally, you can make dining reservations for up to 10 people on the
Disneyland Paris website or
mobile app. For a group of 13, I’d recommend making two separate reservations at around the same time. You’ll need someone else from your party to make the second reservation (since you can’t hold two dining reservations for similar time slots on the same account). When you’re making the reservation, press “Add a request” (under Special Requests). Then check the box next to “Near friend’s table” (under Table requests). It’ll open a text box where you can add the person’s name who made the second reservation. This will give Cast Members a heads-up that you’d like to sit together or near each other, if possible. I’d also recommend mentioning it to the Cast Member when you check into the restaurant.
