Hi, in the 2015 Disney Dining Plan does a character meal count as 2 table service meals? Also my child is 12 and therefore an adult in the dining plan; can she still have children's meals?

Hi Chris! The Disney Dining Plan is a great deal, especially if you're planning on doing some character meals. For the most part, character meals require one table service credit per person. The exceptions to this, with meals requiring two table service meal credits per guest, are the following:

    - Fairytale Dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom
    - Star Wars Dine-In Galactic Breakfast! at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant available on these dates only:
    5/4/15-6/14/15
    - Jedi Mickey’s Star Wars Dine at Hollywood & Vine available on these dates only: 5/4/15-6/14/15

In addition, the following dinner shows require two table service credits per person:

    - Disney’s Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue
    - Mickey’s Backyard BBQ
    - Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show

All of these experiences should be booked in advance either online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463).

There should be no problem with your daughter ordering off the children's menus. She can also make substitutions off the adult menu. Switching out for fries or having the sauce on the side always worked for my daughter!

Write back with any other questions as you plan your magical vacation Chris!
