How much does the disney deluxe dining plan cost? We have 2 adults, a 12 year old and a 8 year old, going Sept 25th - October 3rd. Hopefully available by then, thanks

Welcome BACK to planDisney, Marcia! It is wonderful to see you here asking another vacation question. Your visit in September/October 2021 will allow you to experience the extraordinary magic of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration! There is sure to be some extra pixie dust sprinkled on The Most Magical Place on Earth during this time. I cannot think of a more magical time to visit!

One of my favorite elements of planning a Walt Disney World vacation is utilizing the Disney Dining Plan, so I too, am anxiously hoping for and awaiting its return. I love the ease in which purchasing a Dining Plan allows you to budget for meals and snacks well before your arrival. There is so much fun and excitement in researching the fabulous table-service and quick-service dining options and hunting down the best snacks included in the Disney Dining Plan! The prices of the three Dining Plan options have varied over the years, with some special pricing available in vacation packages and other special offers. Once Disney announces the return of Dining Plans, you will be able to call and add it to your vacation package. They can then break down the pricing per person, per day.

With the Dining Plans currently unavailable, another great option for budgeting for meals is to purchase Disney gift cards. This will allow you to start budgeting for meals during your stay well ahead of your arrival. Several of my fellow panelists use this method to budget for their Disney vacations, since Disney gift cards are accepted for payment towards Walt Disney World Resort vacation packages, theme park tickets, dining in restaurants and shopping throughout Walt Disney World. If the Dining Plan becomes available prior to your arrival, you could then use any Disney gift cards you purchased to pay for adding the Dining Plan to your vacation package.  If it is still unavailable, you can then use the Disney gift cards to pay for your dining directly. I highly recommend that you check out some of the restaurants where you plan to dine, review the menu and determine the average cost of meals. This will help you decide how much to purchase in Disney gift cards.

I hope that this information helps you to plan and budget for your magical vacation in Walt Disney World next year! Please remember that you’ve got a friend in us here at planDisney, so stop back by any time we can help answer your vacation questions.
