Hi Brooke!
Assisting other Disney Guests to plan their unforgettable vacations is so much fun for us, so I’m glad you have found us to be helpful! You are going to love
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The decor is simply elegant, yet the subtle nods to classic films such as Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland and Mary Poppins give it the perfect Disney touch.
When you do online check-in for The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, I believe you are offered either a ground floor, lower floor or upper floor, of if you wish to be close to the lobby. This resort is not especially large, so I don’t think being near the lobby is a necessity. My choice of a ground or upper floor would depend on if I were traveling with children or not. When I have younger children with me, I tend to be concerned about them running or jumping and possibly disturbing the Guests below us. With my active three year old daughter, at this moment in time I would probably request a ground floor room for that reason.
When traveling without small children, I would request an upper floor room. I prefer the privacy of a balcony to a patio, and I tend to enjoy views better from upper rooms. Please do remember that any room requests are simply requests, and while Cast Members will do their best accommodate, it cannot be guaranteed. This resort is so lovely and well done however, that I don’t think there really are any rooms to avoid.
Thanks for stopping by, Brooke! Let us know what additional questions we can help you with as you plan your magical trip.
