We will be in Disney on December 6 and just discovering that you have to pay for Christmas parade. We have 20 people on our party so this won’t work. Does Disney have the regular lighted parade nightly that is free to general admission tickets? Please yes!

    Dear Pam,

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your very merry question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

You are correct that Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a separate ticketed event that occurs on some nights in November and December each year, and unfortunately you would not be able to stay late at the Magic Kingdom that evening to see the parades and characters without that extra ticket. However, December 6th is NOT a Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party night, so you are good to go! You will be able to see all of the decorations and extra holiday magic around the park.

If you are talking about the Main Street Electrical Parade, that one has moved to Disneyland at the moment and is not appearing at Walt Disney World Resort.

Be sure to check out Happily Ever After at 9pm, and then Once Upon A Time at 10:30pm that evening! All times subject to change, of course.

Have an extra magical time at Walt Disney World Resort with your family!
