Hi. Going to Disney 12 days beginning Oct. Purchased 6 days of tickets plus waterpark fun &more. Since I feel I have more activities than days how many hours should I separate for each water park so my boys can enjoy them? Thanks!

    Hi Vivian!

I know you must be very excited to spend 12 days at the Walt Disney World Resort in October!  My family loves Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, and have spent countless hours at each. As a mom to four children ranging from nine to sixteen, I have found that my family prefers the overall theming and exciting waterslides at Blizzard Beach. Ski Patrol Training Camp is a fun area at Blizzard Beach designed for school-age children and tweens. Ski Patrol Training Camp features a cool zip line and floating iceberg course that you cross while grabbing hold of a suspended cargo net overhead. My twin boys could spend hours in this section alone.

Because you are visiting in October, I would anticipate the lines to be shorter than during the summer months. Even during the summer months when lines can get pretty long, we usually find that six hours is ample time to experience Disney's Blizzard Beach; whereas, four to five hours is an adequate amount of time for Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. During your trip in October, I would allot approximately four hours for Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and five hours for Disney's Blizzard Beach.

I hope this is helpful.  Please don't hesitate to stop by again with any additional questions that you may have. Best wishes for a magical trip, Vivian!

    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
