We are in Disney for our daughter's first birthday and are doing a whole lot of character dining! We have already purchased the Memory Maker. Are there pictures taken at the character dining so we can all be in the picture or is that just in the parks?

    Hi Mandy,

Some of the character meals include a stage opportunity to be photographed with a character. For example, at Cinderella's Royal Table, Cinderella will greet guests in the lobby and pose for photos there with a PhotoPass/MemoryMaker photographer present. However, there are no Disney photographers in the dining room when the other princesses visit your table. Similarly, there are no Disney photographers roaming around the restaurants while you're eating and meeting characters there.

You'll certainly want to have your own camera with you during character meals to capture more character interactions. If you all want to be in the photo, just ask your server or another guest to take some shots for you. Any cast member will be happy to do this. And I've often made friends with the guests at the next table and we've traded photo duties, taking pictures of each other's families during the meal. This usually works out to be a great solution.

Please let us know if you have additional questions. We're happy to help.
