If a Disney After Dark event is sold out, is it possible to check the day of the event and see if you can still buy tickets at the ticket booth?

Welcome to planDisney, Danelle! I'm so glad the Disneyland After Dark events are back for 2023. There's nothing like playing in the park after hours! These events sell out quickly, so it's imperative to plan ahead. I guess everyone loves the unique offerings and theming that make these events so special.

Danelle, my husband always says, "If you don't ask, then you already know the answer." In other words, it never hurts to ask! If you're planning to be at Disneyland Resort on the day of an after-hours event, I'd suggest stopping by a ticket booth to see if any last-minute availability has opened up. The events have a pre-party park mix-in event that usually begins about three hours before the scheduled event starts, so I'd recommend stopping by as early as you can on the day of the event. I spoke to a Cast Member about the odds of availability opening up, and she felt it would be rare. But, to paraphrase Walt Disney, "It's kind of fun to TRY to do the impossible."

You may have noticed, Danelle, but even though Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts' Nite is sold out, as of now, Disneyland After Dark: Princess Nite still has availability for March 7 and 8. So it might be worth planning another trip! But grab those tickets soon.

If you cannot secure a ticket for an after-hours event, I'd suggest getting a Theme Park Reservation for the park where the event is not taking place since it will close early to the public. Or, if you have a Park Hopper Ticket, you can switch parks in order to get in a day full of pixie dust!

I'm sending lots of happy thoughts your way, Danelle! And stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
