Hi Disney Moms and Dads! I'm considering purchasing an Annual Pass, but my trip doesn't start until June. Would the year start now or in June? Would I still be able to make use of benefits while planning the trip if it's not activated yet?

    Hi there Sara!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! As an annual passholder, I'm super excited to hEAR that you are considering an annual pass purchase. Based on my own personal experience, I am happy to report that your annual pass would not be activated until your first day of use. In other words, the year would not start on the date of purchase, but rather on the day you first use your pass in June.

I did not have to wait until my pass was activated to start utilizing the benefits or discounts that one receives as an annual passholder. I also linked my annual pass in My Disney Experience right after purchasing it. With that being said, the main discount I took advantage of was a room discount that was available at the time to annual passholders.

I hope this information has been helpful to you. Please don't hesitate to reach out again with any additional questions that you may have. Best wishes for many magical trips, Sara!

    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
