Hi, Disney Dad Doug! Planning to return to WDW later this year Nov 1-10. How much of an effect on park crowd levels does the so-called "Jersey Week" have? Would you recommend not visiting during this time? Thank you! Love the Panel and all the gr

    Kimberly,

That is a great question, and you are not the first person to pick up on this possible impact on crowd levels.

So yes, Jersey Week does result in a notable bump in attendance. Most of that time frame typically enjoys a lower crowd level.

    But do not dismay!

The real bump doesn't seem (at least in my experience) to last. It does not seem to go for the entire week. Instead I find a Thursday through Monday bump that raises things from what would normally be a moderately light crowd level to a few days of very crowded days. So if you can save your Magic Kingdom days on your trip to not coincide with the Friday or Saturday at the start of Jersey Week, you should be fine.

BOTTOM LINE: If you can easily bump your visit by a week either way, do it. But if that will be a struggle, you should still come. All you would need to do is plan accordingly.

Thanks for the question, and write me back if you have any follow-up questions!

    Have a magical vacation!
