Welcome, Clare! Thank you so much for sailing by with your question!
Disney Cruise Line has always maintained a careful watch on the latest guidance when it comes to vaccines and COVID-19 testing requirements. Guest and crew safety is a priority, and as a result, the policies regarding vaccines and testing have changed and may continue to change as our global health situation evolves.
The first thing I want to recommend is that prior to your sailing next summer, keep an eye on the
Know Before You Go section of the website. Changes in protocols will be updated there if they are made, so it will be so helpful to visit the page often leading up to your cruise just to monitor changes.
As of right now, if your cruise is
sailing from a US port, Disney Cruise Line does not require COVID-19 vaccinations, although they are highly recommended. While the rules and restrictions from other countries may come into play, depending on your
itinerary, if you are sailing from the US, you would not need to be vaccinated. Disney Cruise line does defer to requirements in other countries.
Passengers who are not vaccinated must submit proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken 1-2 days prior to sailing. The test can be one of a variety of testing methods, including proctored telehealth tests.
I hope this helps get you shipshape and ready to sail, Clare.
Anna
