Hi there, Pamela! Thanks for sending another great question in to planDisney. It’s really nice to hear from you again. If I’m remembering correctly, you have a Very Merrytime sailing coming up on the
Disney Wish soon. One of the best things on a Very Merrytime sailing is seeing your favorite Disney characters all dolled up in holiday-exclusive outfits!
I'm sure you're starting to make your packing list, so you're smart to think about your travel documents ahead of time. If your middle name appears on your passport, Disney Cruise Line will need it on your reservation as well. Your reservation has to match your passport exactly to avoid any delays during check-in or when you arrive at the port.
If something needs to be updated, you can
contact Disney Cruise Line directly by phone or reach out to your travel agent to have the name corrected. I actually ran into this myself recently... I forgot to add my own kids’ middle names to our upcoming reservation. A quick online chat with a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member through the Help page on the website fixed it in just a few minutes.
If you haven’t completed your online check-in yet, you might also be able to update the information there. You’ll upload a photo of your passport, and a Cast Member will review everything. Sometimes they’ll add the middle name for you during that process.
And just a quick tip for when your check-in window opens at midnight: have your passport photos saved as JPGs, headshot selfies taken on your phone's camera (shoulders up, with a plain background), your flight details, emergency contact, and the credit card you’ll use for onboard charges ready to go. It makes the whole process much smoother, w.hich usually leads to an earlier Port Arrival Time
I hope this helps, Pamela! Please write back again if there's anything else we can do!
Sea ya real soon,
Eean
