Welcome aboard, Larissa! Obviously, since your ready to plan your fourth Disney cruise, you know how magical a sailing with Disney Cruise Line can be! Isn't it exciting to begin thinking about the next one?
I see that you're from Texas, so you must have heard about the exciting itineraries earlier this year that were setting sail from Galveston and included a port stop at Port Canaveral, Florida with a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort for the day! I didn't get to sail on that itinerary myself but heard how much fun it was for guests to get to enjoy both a Disney cruise and some time at the parks. Unfortunately, there aren't currently anymore sailings set to include this particular port stop. In fact, the last sailing from Galveston at all that is on the schedule will be next month.
However, the good news is that for 2014 and early 2015, many more cruises will originate from Port Canaveral, allowing guests to spend a few days before or after their sailing at the Walt Disney World Resort. Check out the
Land and Sea offers that are currently available for early 2014. Even if you don't opt for one of those offers, it's really easy to visit the parks before or after your cruise. Since Disney Cruise Line offers ground transportation for a small extra fee between the airport, cruise port in Port Canaveral and the Walt Disney World Resort, it couldn't be easier to get the best of both worlds!
Maybe we'll be lucky and see Port Canaveral as a port stop on cruises originating from other ports later in 2015 or 2016. However, those dates and itineraries have not been released yet, so I don't know!
Have fun as you decide which cruise will be the perfect one for your family's fourth sailing with Disney, Larissa! Let me know if I can help with anything else as you continue to plan!
