Welcome to planDisney, Jose!
One of my favorite features of our
Disney Vacation Club Membership is the flexibility. Not only can we use our Vacation Points at DVC Resorts around the country, we can also exchange our Points for options like
Adventures By Disney or
Disney Cruise Line. Let's dive in a look at using Vacation Points for Disney Cruise Line.
Eligible DVC Members can use their Vacation Points to book a Disney Cruise Line voyage. First, I recommend you look at potential
Disney Cruise Line Destinations as well as
Points Charts to get an idea of how many Vacation Points you may need. You can begin using Vacation Points to book a Disney Cruise Line sailing as soon as the Points Charts are available. Once you are ready to use your Points to reserve a Disney Cruise, you will need to give
DVC Member Services a call to complete your transaction.
Using Vacation Points to book with Disney Cruise Line is a Disney Collection Exchange and works differently than using Vacation Points for a DVC Resort. Your Vacation Points will be transferred into
Reservation Points, which will incur a one-time, non-refundable fee of $95 (prices are subject to change). Once those Points are converted, they can no longer be used to book DVC Resorts and cannot be transferred back to Vacation Points. Additionally, Disney Collection exchanges typically fall under The Rule of Four. This means that these reservations cannot typically be made during the last four months of your Use Year. If you have any additional questions, I recommend calling DVC Member Services to walk you through the process with specifics for your Points.
Thank you for visiting planDisney. I hope this helps you start exploring the Big, Blue World soon!
